The Red Castle infant sleeping bags are extremely popular with and acclaimed by all parents who have adopted them!

Available in 5 sizes, our sleeping bags will accompany your child through infancy. Sleeveless, they prevent baby from becoming too hot and allow his body temperature to regulate to that of his bedroom (it is very important that body heat can escape through the armholes). They come in lightweight or quilted Fleur de coton^® fabric and in very soft quilted fleece.

Today, one of the criteria put forward by the medical profession to avoid infant cot death is how important it is that baby’s bedroom is not too hot (the ideal temperature is 19-20°C /66.2-68° F). However, how can parents be sure that baby will be neither too hot nor too cold when he is in his cot?

Red Castle has adopted a rating system widely used in
Great Britain which identifies the heat or "thermal resistance" of a product: the TOG system. The higher the TOG value on an article, the more heat it retains. We have applied this system to our sleeping bags and offer three TOG ratings for all our models: TOG 0.5, in lightweight cotton, TOG 2, a lightly quilted cotton version and TOG 3, quilted fleece fabric.

A word of caution: a sleeping bag should not be chosen based on the temperature outdoors but according to the temperature of baby's bedroom and his sleepwear.

Two examples: It is possible that during the winter, in a well-heated apartment, a child may need a TOG 0.5 model sleeping bag rather than a TOG 3 model. Similarly, when in the mountains during summer, he may need a TOG 2 model rather than a TOG 0.5 model.

1. The 65 and 75cms versions have two shoulder adjustments for a better fit and are adapted to the size of your child.
2. The long zip makes changing baby easier.
3. The 90, 105 and 120cms versions have a zip which opens from the bottom to the top to prevent the child opening it by himself and becoming uncovered when sleeping.
4. The absence of sleeves prevents the child overheating. The warm air can circulate freely around his body and, should he become too hot, it can escape through the armholes.
