Is the set of Easy-to-Attach brackets sold separately?

Depending on the year of manufacture, the Easy-to-Attach brackets are sold with the stroller. They can be purchased independently of the stroller. Please order them from your local RED CASTLE stockist.

Can I install my car seat on the passenger seat equipped with an airbag?

• Your car seat group 0 must never be installed on a passenger seat when the front airbag is activated; to do so could be extremely dangerous. This does not apply to side airbags.
• Your car seat must always be installed rear facing.

Important: Read the Car Seat Instruction manual carefully from beginning to end as well as the car manual for the car in which you are installing the car seat.

Is it true that my child must not remain more than two hours in his car seat group 0? What should I do if we have to make a long trip?

With the main objective of protecting the child, many different points of view have been given in reply to this question. You should not use the car seat for a very lengthy period of time as babies should not remain in the same position for too long. To do so could possibly lead to future back problems. This also applies to baby carriers or other products in which baby is seated or suspended in a fixed position. Your child should be able to move freely as often as possible, your interaction with him and the attention you give him being important stimulation for him.

If you must make a very long journey, no need no panic! There is no problem. Just make regular short stops every two hours. Baby will need to drink, eat, be changed and receive a hug from you.

I have lost the Instruction for use manual. How can I receive a replacement?

It says �??universal�?? on my car seat, what does this mean?

Our RC or RCS car seat group 0 is a universal car seat which means that it can be fixed securely in most types of cars. According to the European standards ECE R44/03 and R44/04, a universal car seat should not be installed in a car using a car seat belt of more than a specific length, this length being that specified for automobile manufacturers in the ECE 16 regulations or their equivalent.

The car seat belts in my car are too short, what should I do?

It may happen that the length of the car seat belts as defined in the ECE 16 regulations are not respected by some automobile manufacturers. For this reason, the car seat belt goes under the shell of our car seats, thus using less length than were it to go over the car seat. When the car seat is installed on the front passenger seat (Warning: respect closely the safety instructions concerning Airbags), make sure that the front passenger seat is as far back as possible. In this way, the seat belt will be longer. 
We recommend that consumers test the car seat in their vehicle prior to purchase.
This practice is welcomed by our stockists. Do not hesitate to ask them for advice. You may also request further information from your car dealer who will contact the manufacturer.

Can the RC or RCS Car Seat be fixed on a base?

Our car seat is not designed to be fixed on a base. It is secured in the car with the car seat belts.

How do I install my car seat in the lying down position in my car?  > see diagram

• Place the car seat preferably on the front passenger seat of the vehicle (or the rear passenger seat), ALWAYS REAR FACING AND AFTER HAVING FIRST DEACTIVATED THE AIRBAG. 
• Put the car seat in the traditional upright sitting position.
• Put the handle in the position for �??use in the car�?�.
• Buckle up the car seat belt.
• Feed the lap belt through the guides at the front of the car seat.
• Slip the diagonal seat belt around the back of the car seat then feed it through the guide at the rear of the car seat.
• Pull firmly on the diagonal belt to take up any slack.
• Finally, recline the seatback of the car seat in the lying down position.

How do I clean my car seat?

The car seat and the harness can be cleaned with warm soapy water.
The car seat cover should also be washed with warm soapy water (do not machine wash). Rinse well and leave open to dry naturally. Do not iron. Use only a mild cleaning product.
Refer to and follow the instructions as indicated in the Instructions for use manual.

How can I repair my car seat or order spare parts?

Please contact the stockist where you purchased the car seat. He or she will contact our after sales service directly. In order to benefit from your guarantee, (see chapter guarantee/after sales service) your must product the original sales receipt.
